I wasn't there at the begining of the lesson, but I found it useful to think of possible ways to adapt an activity from a unit in a book. It made me think that we can always improve the material we have.
I agree with Sofi. Analyzing the unit was helpful because we could reflect upon the relevance of tasks, activities, and exercises so as to have a purpose for the unit and stimulate the students' learning.
